ElevateCX Conference & Community Code of Conduct
All attendees, speakers, sponsors, and volunteers at our conference are required to agree to the following code of conduct. Organizers will enforce this code throughout the event and virtually in our online spaces, including our Slack channel, LinkedIn channel, and email. We expect cooperation from all participants to help ensure a safe environment for everybody. We value each and every community member and strive for both physical and psychological safety for all.
The ElevateCX Community and in-person events are dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion (or lack thereof), or technology choices.
We do not tolerate harassment of community members or event participants in any form. Sexual language and imagery are not appropriate for any community endeavor, including talks, workshops, parties, LinkedIn posts, Slack messages, and other online media. Community members and event participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from ElevateCX without a refund at the discretion of the event organizers.
Harassment includes offensive verbal comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion, technology choices, sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention. Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately.
Sponsors and producing partners are also subject to the anti-harassment policy. In particular, sponsors should not use sexualized images, activities, or other material. Sponsor and partner staff (including volunteers) should not use sexualized clothing/uniforms/costumes or otherwise create a sexualized environment. If a participant engages in harassing behavior, ElevateCX organizers may take any appropriate action, including warning the offender or expulsion from the community or event with no refund.
ElevateCX staff will be happy to help participants contact hotel/venue security or local law enforcement, provide escorts, or otherwise assist those experiencing harassment to feel safe during any and all ElevateCX events, in-person or virtual.
We expect all attendees, including speakers and sponsors, to follow these rules at in-person and virtual events and any workshops and community-related social events. If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact a member of ElevateCX staff immediately, whether in person at an event, via Slack DM to @sh, or email to hello@elevatecx.co.
